Sharing reports with borrowers

Email a report straight from LendrTech, download the PDF, or print it for an in-person meeting.

Once a report looks right in the report builder, you have three ways to get it in front of your borrower: email it from LendrTech, download the PDF, or print it. All three carry your branding — your portrait, company logo, and contact info from your account settings appear on everything the borrower sees.

Emailing a report

If your client has an email address on file, a Send button appears in the report builder's top bar. (Don't see it? Add the client's email on their page under Clients — see managing clients.)

Send stays greyed out until the report is saved, and greys out again whenever you have unsaved changes — hover it and it'll tell you what it needs. Click Save and it's available again. That way what you email always matches the report saved on the client's page.

Clicking Send opens a preview of exactly what your client will receive, so you can give it a final once-over before it goes out. Click Send in the preview to deliver it, or Cancel to go back and keep editing.

Here's what lands in your borrower's inbox:

  • An email from LendrTech (team@lendrtech.com) with a clear subject line, greeting your client by name and signed with your first name. You're CC'd on every send, so you always have a copy of exactly what went out.
  • The report PDF attached, named after your report title.
  • A link to view the static report, so the borrower has the live web version as well as the PDF.

The borrower's view

The static report link opens the report directly — your borrower clicks it and sees the full report in their browser, charts and all. There's nothing to sign in to and nothing to confirm. Because the link works for whoever holds it, treat it like the PDF: share it only with your client.

Report links are short, so they survive a text message without wrapping and don't look like a phishing attempt when your borrower opens them on a phone:

lendrtech.com/s/k7m2xq9v4np3

That trailing code is what identifies the report. It's randomly generated and specific to that one report — it isn't your client's name, their record number, or anything guessable. Nothing in the link gives away who your client is, which is deliberate: links get forwarded, and previewed by messaging apps, and neither should leak a borrower's name.

Older links — the long ones with /homepage/ in them that you may have sent before — still work. You don't need to resend anything.

Downloading the PDF

Click PDF in the report builder's top bar to download the report as a PDF, named after your report title. It's the same document the email flow attaches: a compact, fixed-layout summary with your branding in the masthead, the loan tables, the charts, and the itemized closing costs and prepaids.

PDF is greyed out until the report is saved, and greys out again whenever you have unsaved changes — hover it and it'll tell you. Click Save and it comes straight back. This keeps the file you hand a borrower matching the report on their static report link.

One thing to know: your Include rows choices in the builder sidebar apply to the downloaded and emailed PDF too, so a comparison-table row you hide on the static report is hidden in the PDF as well. Include charts customizes the static report only — the PDF keeps a fixed standard chart set and layout.

Printing

There's no separate print button — download the PDF and print that. The PDF is built on fixed letter-style pages (purchase and refinance reports run two pages, single-loan reports fit on one), so it prints cleanly without cut-off tables or awkward page breaks.

Before you hit send

  • Save first. Send stays greyed out until the report is saved, and greys out again whenever you have unsaved changes — so what lands in the borrower's inbox always matches the report on their static report link.
  • Check the numbers. The PDF preview in the send modal is exactly what your client receives; if something looks off, cancel and fix the fee sheet before sending.
  • Check the client's email. The send goes to the address on the client's record, and the static report link opens for anyone who receives it — so make sure that address is right before you send. LendrTech refuses a send to an obvious stand-in — tbd@, test@, asdf@ and the like — because those are real mailboxes belonging to someone else, and the report carries the borrower's loan figures.
